Why we remove dosing and protocol requests
This comes up monthly so here is the standing explanation.
We remove dosing requests and dosing answers because:
- Dose depends on the person, the indication, the preparation, and the clinician's judgment. A number from a stranger has none of that context.
- A public number becomes a script. People screenshot it, follow it without review, and skip the clinician entirely.
- These are prescription items. The dose conversation belongs with the prescriber who reviewed your history and labs.
You can ask about mechanism. You can ask what questions to bring to a consult. You can describe your own experience in terms of function, pain, and timeline. You cannot post milligrams.
Asking "what does everyone do" is the same question with a costume on. It also gets removed.
Read the pinned rules. They are short.
