Back instability after starting ghk-cu, no pain though

Thread summary

  • Copper peptide ramps up lysyl oxidase activity pretty fast, that's the enzyme that cross links collagen. (shared by @LabRatLouis)
  • Worth separating sensation from instability. (shared by @Dr_Rehab_Ray)
  • Logged three different GHK-Cu starts over the years and nothing like that for me, but my spine's never been cut into so not exactly apples to apples. (shared by @tendon_tinker)
  • Same, week 2 for me when I started it near my Achilles, just felt extra aware of the area for a bit then it settled. (shared by @AchillesAnna)

Had lower back surgery back in 2021, healed up fine, not why I'm running glow. Started it five days ago and by day three my back feels exactly like it did about a month post op. Not pain exactly, more like mild spasms and that unstable feeling where you don't trust it to hold you. I've run ghk-cu twice before with zero issues, once right after surgery and again last spring. Anyone else get this weird instability feeling when starting it even with no actual injury flaring up?

Two years of patience beat six months of panic.

Copper peptide ramps up lysyl oxidase activity pretty fast, that's the enzyme that cross links collagen. If you've got old scar tissue back there from the surgery, a sudden uptick in remodeling signal could make it feel different for a week or two while things reorganize. Doesn't mean damage, just means the tissue notices. I'd watch it, not panic over it.

Preclinical is not a promise.

Worth separating sensation from instability. Post op patients often have altered proprioception around the scar for years. Any new stimulus, peptide or not, can make that area louder for a bit. If there's no objective weakness or radiating symptoms I wouldn't assume it's structural.

Load is the drug with the best data.

Could just as easily be posture or load creeping up this week and you're pinning it on the new variable. Happens constantly.

You cannot inject your way out of a bad program.

Measure it or it did not happen.

Slow is smooth. Smooth is 5k pace eventually.

Did the spasms track with dose timing or just random through the day?

Collagen is a process, not a purchase.

Following, curious if this is a copper thing or just scar tissue waking up.
