Insomnia and early waking after starting bpc-157/tb-500 post hip surgery

Had a hip scope done three weeks ago and my surgeon had me start on bpc-157 and tb-500 about a week ago, 250mcg each, 5 on 2 off, dosed in the morning. Sleep was totally fine post op before I started. First night on the stack I had crazy vivid dreams, second night broken sleep, and now I'm waking up between 1 and 3am every night and can't get back down. I'm not sleeping more than 4 hours and it's starting to wear on me even though the meniscus repair site that's bugged me for years actually feels better and my energy during the day is up. Anyone else get this and did it settle down as your body adjusted, or is this a sign to back off the dose or move it to nighttime instead?

Still here. Still slow.

I see this a lot in the sleep threads, not just with this stack. Anything that bumps systemic repair activity or just gives you more daytime energy can mess with sleep architecture the first couple weeks. For me mornings felt wired on anything new, you might try splitting the dose or moving it earlier in the day so it's fully metabolized by bedtime.

Recovery happens at 3am, if it happens.

Worth separating two things here, the vivid dreams night one and the 1 to 3am wakeups are probably not the same mechanism. The dream thing is common with a lot of new compounds and usually fades fast. The early waking pattern sounds more like a cortisol or sympathetic tone issue, which can absolutely happen with a morning dose if it's giving you a second wind you're not used to.

Preclinical is not a promise.

I tracked this exact thing when I started TB-500 two years ago. Sleep score tanked for 11 days then went back to baseline. Didn't change dose or timing, just rode it out.

Measure it or it did not happen.

Three weeks post hip surgery your nervous system is already doing a lot of recalibrating from the surgery itself, pain, inflammation, even reduced activity levels all affect sleep independent of anything you're injecting. I wouldn't assume causation yet, I'd want to see if it's still happening in another week or two before changing the protocol.

Load is the drug with the best data.

Nothing about the reconstitution or storage side of this would explain an insomnia pattern, that's not a sterility or stability issue, it's a physiologic response question. If it's concerning enough I'd loop your prescriber in rather than adjusting on your own.

If the vial looks cloudy, the answer is no.

Same, week 2 it faded for me.

Isometrics before ice. Every time.

Appreciate this, going to give it another week before touching the timing. The improvement in the knee is real so I don't want to pull the plug too fast.
