How long does BPC-157 actually take to work?

Been running BPC-157 sub-q for almost 3 weeks now for my patellar tendon and honestly can't tell if anything is different. Everyone's timelines online are all over the place, some people say days, some say months. At what point do I just call it and say it's not doing anything for me? My connective tissue has always healed slow so I don't know if I'm being impatient or if I should actually be seeing something by now.

Still here. Still slow.

I track this stuff obsessively so here's my data: week 1-2 nothing measurable, week 3 my morning stiffness score dropped about 20%, week 5 was when load tolerance actually improved. Didn't feel like a light switch, felt like a slope. If you're 3 weeks in you might just be early.

Measure it or it did not happen.

This matches my experience. First week I felt less angry inflammation, like the tendon wasn't screaming at me first thing in the morning. But actual functional change, being able to add hill work back in, that took closer to 6 weeks. Chronic tendinopathy just doesn't move fast no matter what you're pinning.

Slow is smooth. Smooth is 5k pace eventually.

Worth separating two things here. Early symptom relief in the first week or two is plausible and reported a lot, but that could be the peptide or it could just be the effect of finally doing something proactive plus whatever loading changes you made at the same time. The actual tissue remodeling for something chronic is a months long process regardless. If someone tells you 2 weeks and you're fixed, be skeptical.

Load is the drug with the best data.

This is the part people skip. If your loading program is garbage the peptide isn't rescuing it. I've had athletes convinced the peptide wasn't working when the real problem was they were still avoiding eccentric load out of fear. Fix the program first, then judge the peptide.

You cannot inject your way out of a bad program.

The animal data everyone cites for tendon healing is usually looking at outcomes around the two to four week mark, with better histology at day 14 in transection models compared to controls. That's a rat with a fully cut tendon healing under controlled conditions, not a 43 year old with chronic tendinopathy who's been ignoring it for years. Different problem, different timeline, people just borrow the number because it sounds concrete.

Preclinical is not a promise.

Not gonna lie I gave up looking for a magic day. I noticed less crunching sensation around week 4, could actually do overhead press without wincing by week 7. Nobody handed me a certificate that said day 23 it kicked in.

Two years of patience beat six months of panic.

Appreciate all this, honestly makes me feel less crazy. Guess I'll keep at it and stop checking the mirror every morning like something's supposed to change overnight.

Still here. Still slow.
