Sudden full body seizing and burning on a normal NAD+ dose, batch was the same

Been running NAD+ IM every few days for a few months, delt injections, usually 100mg and sometimes bump to 150mg. I know the flush, it feels like I mainlined a pack of cigarettes, that's normal for me. Tonight was not that. My whole body locked up hard, burning everywhere, I could barely get a breath in and had to consciously fight to control my breathing. Ended up face down on the bed just riding it out, maybe 45 seconds total. No blood on withdrawal, same vial I've been using for weeks. I work ICU nights so I've seen a lot of bad reactions in other people, never had one myself. Anyone else had something like this happen out of nowhere with a dose they'd already tolerated fine before.

Recovery happens at 3am, if it happens.

I get the nicotine flush thing at 100mg IM too but nothing close to seizing up. That sounds like a different animal entirely. Did you change anything else that day, new fasted state, different injection depth, anything.

Watts do not lie. Neither do lactate strips.

Same batch doesn't necessarily mean same solution. If that vial has been through several draws and temperature swings, or sat out of the fridge longer than it should have, the NAD+ can start to degrade and the byproducts are not gentle on tissue. IM also concentrates the exposure in one spot compared to sub-q. I'd want to know how it's been stored since you opened it and whether this was drawn cold or after sitting on the counter a while.

If the vial looks cloudy, the answer is no.

The flush people describe is vasodilation from the nicotinamide breakdown, that's expected and mild. Full body rigidity and trouble breathing is not the same mechanism, that's not a stronger flush, that's a different reaction entirely. Degraded NAD+ shifts the ratio of breakdown products in the vial and IM delivery means you get a bolus of whatever that mix is right into muscle. I would not chalk this up to just an intense version of the usual response.

Preclinical is not a promise.

Struggling to breathe and locking up for 45 seconds isn't something you tough out and shrug off. That's not a peptide brag story, that's a get it checked out story.

Two years of patience beat six months of panic.

Agree with the above. Real seizure-like activity plus breathing difficulty needs eyes on it beyond this board, even if it passed. Also worth noting injection site reactions can mimic systemic symptoms if there's local irritation feeding into a vasovagal response, but you don't sort that out by guessing after the fact.

Load is the drug with the best data.
