How do I figure out units per dose after mixing with bac water

Ok I finally have my vial and bac water sitting on the counter and I froze. I get that you mix them together but I have no idea how to actually know how many units to pull into the syringe for my dose. Every guide I read online uses different numbers and my brain just short circuits. Can someone walk me through the actual math in plain terms, like a really basic example. I have a 5mg vial if that helps.

Currently typing with correct posture. Probably.

This is exactly the kind of thing I made a spreadsheet for lol. Basic version: take your vial mg divided by however much bac water you add in mL, that gives you concentration. So 5mg vial with 2mL water is 2.5mg/mL, which is 2500mcg/mL if you convert. Then you take your target dose in mcg and divide by that concentration to get mL, and multiply by 100 if you're using a standard U-100 syringe to get units. Write the numbers down somewhere, don't try to do it in your head every time.

Measure it or it did not happen.

Tendon_tinker has the math right. I'll just add, the water amount doesn't add or remove peptide, it only changes concentration, so don't stress about picking the exact perfect amount of water on the first try. What matters more is being consistent with whatever ratio you land on, and making sure you're reading the right syringe scale, a U-40 or U-50 syringe will not read the same as a U-100 for the same volume.

If the vial looks cloudy, the answer is no.

Wait this actually just clicked for me reading it laid out like that. I've been squinting at my syringe barrel like it owes me money.

Still here. Still slow.

Get a cheap calculator app or just do what tinker said, write it on a sticky note taped to the fridge. I did the mental math wrong exactly once and pulled way more volume than I meant to. Wasn't dangerous just wasteful, felt dumb about it for a week.

Two years of patience beat six months of panic.

I write my concentration right on the vial with a sharpie the day I mix it, mg per mL and mcg per mL both, so future me doesn't have to redo the math every single time. Saved me more than once at 6am half asleep before a run.

Slow is smooth. Smooth is 5k pace eventually.

Good call on the sharpie. One more tip, if your dose comes out to some ugly number like 7.3 units, that's usually a sign to adjust how much water you add next time so it lands closer to a clean 10 or 20. Way less room for a misread that way.

Measure it or it did not happen.

Jumping in just to say this thread is a good example of explaining the general math, which is fine, but let's keep it there rather than telling dana specifically what her dose or ratio should be. General principle good, personalized instructions not so much.

Read the pinned rules. They are short.

This actually helped a ton, thank you all. Going to write my numbers down before I touch the syringe tonight instead of trying to wing it like I almost did.
