Peptides versus HGH, what's the difference and does it matter

Ok dumb question maybe but I keep seeing sermorelin and CJC-1295 talked about like they are HGH but also like they are totally different things. Is sermorelin just weaker HGH or is it actually a different category entirely. Trying to figure out if this belongs in the same conversation as BPC-157 for my wrist tendinitis or if that is a totally separate bucket.

Currently typing with correct posture. Probably.

Different bucket, and honestly the question itself is a little like asking what's the difference between supplements and vitamin D. One is a whole class, the other is one specific molecule. Sermorelin, CJC-1295, ipamorelin are secretagogues, they poke your pituitary to release your own GH. Actual HGH (somatropin) is the finished hormone, made in a lab, injected straight in. Your pituitary does nothing in that scenario, it just sits there while your bloodstream gets whatever dose you gave it.

Preclinical is not a promise.

This is basically why I only mess with the secretagogue side. My endocrine system still has veto power if I overdo it, versus real HGH where you're just dumping the finished product in and hoping your body handles it. Cheaper too, at least in my experience.

Watts do not lie. Neither do lactate strips.

Right, and worth separating both of those from BPC-157/TB-500 which aren't in the GH pathway at all. Those work through angiogenesis and growth factor signaling, totally different mechanism. So you've basically got three lanes: secretagogues, actual HGH, and tissue repair peptides. None of them are interchangeable even though they all get lumped as "peptides" casually.

Load is the drug with the best data.

The real world difference for me is side effect load. Friend of mine did actual HGH for a while and dealt with puffy hands and joint aches the whole time. I've never had anything like that on sermorelin, worst I get is a little flushed feeling if I push the dose.

Recovery happens at 3am, if it happens.

Logged both phases for myself honestly. Secretagogue block: sleep score up, no joint weirdness, tendon pain unchanged. Never touched real HGH, too much insulin resistance chatter for my taste given I already have enough metabolic stuff to track. If your actual goal is tendon healing though, none of this GH pathway stuff moved the needle for me the way BPC did.

Measure it or it did not happen.

Yeah this thread is basically confirming what I figured. Guys asking me at the gym if HGH will fix their shoulder and I tell them that's not even the right aisle of the store.

Two years of patience beat six months of panic.
