The TB-500 tendon data is thinner than the marketing suggests

TB-500 gets marketed as a tendon peptide. I want to be precise about what actually underlies that. Thymosin Beta-4 is a real, well characterized actin binding protein involved in cell motility and wound healing. That part is not controversial. It upregulates VEGF, supports angiogenesis, and has anti inflammatory signaling. In tissue injury models it speeds recruitment of repair cells. Here is the part that gets skipped: the strongest in vivo musculoskeletal study with actual biomechanical outcomes is a ligament healing model, specifically MCL, not a tendon model. Tendon specific evidence is mostly in vitro tenogenic scaffold work. So when a vendor page says "studied for tendon repair," the honest translation is: studied for tissue repair broadly, with the load bearing musculoskeletal data coming from ligament, and tendon inferred from mechanism. That inference might be right. It is still an inference, and it is a weaker position than BPC-157 occupies, which is saying something given how thin that one is.

Ligament and tendon are not interchangeable tissues. Different loading environments, different vascularity, and different healing trajectories. Muscle-to-bone versus bone-to-bone is not just a technicality. Cross-applying the data is a reasonable hypothesis, but it is still just a hypothesis, not a result.

Load is the drug with the best data.

Because mechanisms that look complementary on paper sell kits. That is not purely cynical, it is just marketing running ahead of evidence. To be fair, BPC-157 and TB-500 do act on overlapping but distinct pathways, which is a legitimate rationale for studying them together. But nobody has actually tested the combo in humans with a tendon endpoint.

Endurance question: does the anti-inflammatory angle do anything for that general beat-up feeling after a heavy block, outside of a specific injury?

No data I would rely on. Besides, blunting post-training inflammation in general is risky. The adaptive signal you are chasing runs partly through those exact inflammatory pathways, so suppressing them broadly is not an obvious win.
