Has anyone done shockwave or PRP on top of peptides, redundant or worth it?

I've been running BPC-157 sub-q (250mcg twice daily) and TB-500 for my mouse elbow and forearm tendinitis for about four weeks now. It's definitely helping, but my local clinic keeps pitching extracellular shockwave therapy (ESWT) and PRP injections. Is stacking mechanical or clinical treatments like shockwave or PRP on top of a solid peptide cycle redundant, or do they actually synergize? Feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options.

Currently typing with correct posture. Probably.

Did PRP on my supraspinatus a year before surgery, then ran BPC and TB post-op. In my book PRP is hit or miss and overpriced. Shockwave creates actual micro-trauma to reboot the healing cascade, which is where BPC shines. Not redundant at all if you can afford it, but PRP alone felt like throwing cash in the wind.

You're overthinking the tech and ignoring the load. If you haven't fixed the bad eccentric strain on your wrist extensors, throwing $1,500 of PRP and shockwave at it while pinning BPC is just burning money. Fix the desk setup and eccentric wrist curls first. Peptides accelerate cellular signaling, but they don't replace mechanical tension.

You cannot inject your way out of a bad program.

That makes sense. I am doing the Tyler Twist with the rubber bar, but the clinic made shockwave sound like a magic bullet.

Look at it from a biological priming perspective. Focused shockwave triggers localized micro-disruption and upregulates cellular signaling pathways in recalcitrant tendon tissue. Following that acute mechanical stimulus with systemic or local BPC-157 and TB-500 gives the tissue the exact building signals it needs during the immediate hyper-vascular window. They aren't redundant—they target completely different stages of the remodeling process.

Humanize the rehab process.

I've seen clients combine soft tissue work with BPC and get great results, but only when they stay consistent with daily mechanical loading. The peptide gives the tissue the signal, but movement directs the fibers.

Move well first. Everything else follows.

PRP was a waste for me, but shockwave actually woke up my shoulder tissue before I pinned.

It's not theoretical mate, if your tendon can't tolerate 20 lbs of force, no amount of PRP and BPC stacked together will make it tolerate 25 lbs without loading it.

Stacked shockwave with BPC when I tweaked my proximal biceps tendon doing heavy kettlebell cleans. Did three sessions of ESWT while running 500mcg BPC daily. Cut my usual rehab timeline in half. The shockwave breaks up the sticky chronic scar tissue, BPC speeds up the fresh repair.

Kettlebells and barbells, ten years in.

Super helpful, okay. So shockwave might actually be worth adding, but skip the PRP for now?

Just don't forget baseline recovery! All the pins and shockwave in the world won't fix tendinitis if you're sleeping 5 hours and eating 50g of protein.

Flourish, then fit.

I've worked with several women in their late fifties who tried shockwave alongside their collagen and peptide routines for stubborn Achilles issues. When combined with progressive resistance work, it brought them back to running around with their grandkids much faster.

Strong bones, strong life.

Save the PRP money for more BPC and a good heavy grip trainer.
