Anyone dealt with tendon issues around menopause? feels like everything changed overnight

Seeing this constantly in my remote clients and feeling it myself now too. You go along fine for years doing your kettlebell work and suspension training, then peri-menopause hits and suddenly both Achilles tendons and both elbows feel like frayed cables out of nowhere. The drop in collagen synthesis is brutal. I started running BPC-157 sub-q at 250mcg twice a day alongside systemic GHK-Cu for tissue quality, plus isometric holds. Who else has stacked BPC with loading specifically for hormone-related tendon brittleness? What was your timeline before the aching settled down?

Went through the exact same feeling when my systemic hormones shifted post-pregnancy, felt like my connective tissue turned into dry rubber overnight. I ran BPC-157 local near the patellar tendon for six weeks while keeping my eccentric tempo super slow. Week 3 was when the morning stiffness finally broke. The mindset piece is huge because you feel like your body betrayed you, but the load tolerance comes back once the tissue calms down.

Been through rehab myself. It works if you work it.

You're overthinking it. Tendon tissue is tendon tissue. You don't need a whole theory on hormone drops, you just need heavy progressive load and patience. Pin BPC if you want, but if you aren't loading it heavy, nothing changes.

Two years of patience beat six months of panic.

That is completely wrong. When estrogen tanks, target collagen synthesis drops hard and tendon stiffness decreases, leaving the tissue vulnerable to shear forces. I had two female clients in their early 50s struggling with chronic hamstring origin tendinopathy. We kept their lifting strict, pinned BPC-157 at 300mcg daily with TB-500 twice a week, and the difference in load tolerance by week 4 was night and day.

Technique first, load second.

Eccentric tempo is the lever here. 5 seconds down, 2 second pause at the bottom. Pin BPC daily, do the boring isometric work, and stop guessing.

Discipline is the shortcut.

Did anyone notice systemic energy drops along with the joint aching? Thinking about adding MOTS-C or NAD+ to my own recovery blocks when bouncing back between hard riding days feels impossible.

Watts do not lie. Neither do lactate strips.

BPC took about 18 days for me before I could load the Achilles without that sharp tug.

Been through rehab myself. It works if you work it.

Kept up with 30-second isometric holds on the suspension trainer this morning and the morning ache is already down about half after 10 days on the BPC pin. Boring consistency always wins.
